Pricing and Options

Since I make custom clubs, it is unlikely I can specify prices that will match your needs for shaft, clubhead, grip, and matching techniques.

I am not a glue-and-stick operator who simply moves parts out the door. I want your clubs to be the best they can be, not the quickest they can be.

The best way to determine pricing is to email me and I'll shoot you a quote based on what you're looking for.

Generally, for a set of irons, 3-PW, Dynamic Gold steel shafts, forged heads, normal grips, the price will generally be between $500 and $600. This includes matching as desired by the customer, and always includes correct shaft alignment. These prices, of course, are subject to component price increases, and don't reflect other services such as shipping clubs back and forth during a trial period.

Irons with cast heads, as opposed to forged, are significantly less pricey. They will tend to cost between $350 and $450. Most game-improvement sets are cast, and this is a typical choice for most golfers who are above a single-digit handicap.

Graphite shafts in irons will generally run about $5-10 more per club than steel, depending on the model chosen.

Costs of other clubs are a function of their component costs. A top of the line component driver, for instance, costs roughly twice what a cheapie titanium driver will cost, simply because the head is more than twice as expensive. But you get what you pay for.

Generally, I don't keep a lot of inventory, as that just increases costs. Instead, once we've settled on what to build, I'll order the parts from the appropriate supplier(s) and assemble them when they arrive. Occasionally I'll find deals on parts, and assemble special sets to offer here.

Typically I ship via Insured Priority U.S. Mail, which adds about $9 to the cost of a driver and $17 to the cost of a set. It's faster than UPS usually, getting clubs delivered often within 2 days and almost always within 3 days. Depending on circumstances, I might also use UPS.
